Ruthie Daugherty
Hello, I'm Brandi Sharp, a minister's wife, mom, grandmother, and currently a Marketing Specialist for an in-home personal care company serving seniors and those with physical and intellectual disabilities. My journey has been fueled by a passion for helping others navigate the often complex healthcare system, especially for those who are vulnerable and in need of support.
Before my current role, I was a Target Case Manager specializing in finding resources for unpaid caregivers to help them care for their aging parents. This experience allowed me to make a significant difference in the lives of families struggling to find the right care solutions. My role involved providing guidance and emotional support, as caregivers often feel overwhelmed and isolated.
In addition to my work in the healthcare sector, I served as a district sales manager for a top corporate telecommunications company. There, I led a team in leadership, sales training, and marketing development. This role honed my skills in strategic planning, team leadership, and customer relations, all of which have been invaluable in my current position.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, who is a Youth Pastor. We find great joy in mentoring and guiding the youth in our community. Our family is musically inclined; I love listening to our sons sing and play instruments in their band. Additionally, I serve as a praise and worship leader, where I get to combine my love for music and faith to uplift and inspire others.
One of the causes I am most passionate about is supporting unpaid caregivers. These individuals often go unrecognized and unsupported, yet they play a crucial role in the wellbeing of our aging population. My background in case management has shown me firsthand the struggles these caregivers face, and it has become a mission of mine to advocate for better resources and support systems.
To all the women in the Arkansas Women’s Network, I want to encourage you to pursue your passions. Whether you are in healthcare, business, or any other field, know that your work has the power to make a difference. Use your skills, your voice, and your heart to support those in need, and never underestimate the impact you can have.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. Let's continue to support each other and work towards a brighter future for all.
